The Club aims to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all runners.

    • We do ask members to take responsibility for their own health and safety, combined with helping others as and when necessary.
    • When running on the road, no more than two abreast and single file if necessary.
    • Our policy is to run in groups wherever possible. If your group becomes separated check that everyone has made it back safely.
    • You will need a high visibility vest on all training nights. Head torches are also recommended in the winter months.
    • For safety reasons we do not allow headphones to be worn.
    • We encourage all members to wear their club vest when racing and out generally. This not only helps promote the club, but the distinctive turquoise and purple make it easy to spot fellow runners in a race.
    • Wherever practical one member of the group should carry a mobile phone.
    • Dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
    • All sessions will take place on public road or land. Winter sessions will be in well-lit areas and summer session we will venture into the countryside.
    • When attending training sessions, members are declaring themselves fit to run. Please inform us of any relevant medical conditions which may make it harder for you to run.
